Highlights​

  • MOTIS is now the default engine for public-transport routing. It and OpenTripPlanner are selectable in Settings and share the stable /api/v1/transit response envelope.
  • Transit lifecycle is explicit. Atlas runs one engine at a time, reuses staged OSM and GTFS inputs, reports data coverage and keeps the selected engine through region applies.
  • Search and Places are one map-aware workflow. It supports category-only discovery, shareable URL state, full-result collection, clusters and an explicit Show all action.
  • Directions are clearer. Routes draw labels on the map and retain an accessible summary while endpoints or travel mode change.

Existing installations keep their saved transit-engine choice. To move an existing instance from OTP to the new MOTIS default, select MOTIS in Settings → Services → Public transport → Transit engine and wait for it to become Ready.
