Atlas 0.5.1

Highlights​

  • A setup wizard selects features and regions, warns about missing timetables, downloads regional files in parallel and tracks progress.
  • Transport data connects GTFS providers or custom feeds, with optional GTFS-RT and daily updates. The initial catalog includes VBB for Berlin and Brandenburg.
  • Directions adds journey times, waits, transfers, platform information when available, departure-time selection and per-leg live status.
  • Search has explicit city-address filtering, clearer completeness warnings, and Start here / Route here actions on places.
  • Map context survives navigation and refresh. Search and routing layers remain separate; mobile route results have a compact address form.
  • Settings clarifies extract providers, multi-region download estimates, the active basemap and existing timetable files. Wizard Back, scrolling and installation-details behaviour are improved.

Upgrade​

Follow Upgrading and rollback. Update both the checkout and app image; this version includes MOTIS startup changes. Existing installations retain the selected transit engine and their regional timetables until a new source selection is applied.

The published image is ghcr.io/dawarich-app/atlas/app:0.5.1, available for Linux amd64 and arm64. 0.5 and latest are moving tags; pin 0.5.1 for this release.

Known limits​

Photon returns ranked results, not a verified inventory of all businesses. The city filter checks address attributes, not administrative polygons. A configured realtime feed does not confirm live coverage for every journey. Service badges use logs and may lag actual API availability.
